
Annual Reception and Awards
Each year the Association hosts an Annual Reception and Awards banquet where recipients are honored and presented the following awards: Harold J. Sullivan Award, John Evans & Victor Caputy Award for Outstanding Advocacy, Robert A. Shuker Memorial Award, and Patricia J. Smoot Award.
Harold J. Sullivan Award
This award is presented to an AUSA who best exemplifies the selfless devotion, personal courage, professional fairness, and trial excellence of the late Harold J. Sullivan.

J. Patricia Smoot Award
This award is named for the AUSA Trish Smoot, who served with distinction as an AUSA from 1994-2002 and among other roles, was the Office's Director of Professional Development. This award recognizes an AUSA who has served in the Office for less than 8 years and who has demonstrated great passion, leadership, and a commitment to inclusiveness.
